Really fun course, though still needs some fine tuning. For the $160 price tag I'd expect a little more. Our barista was great, he knew his stuff, but a few things let it down:
- It ended 30 minutes early, even though it's advertised to end at midday.
- The title 'home barista' is misleading as the techniques you learn only work on commercial machines (I have a decent dual boiler espresso machine at home and the steam wand just doesn't cut it).
- Our barista didn't come around and watch us make a coffee from start to finish which I found strange.
- And for that price I really expected a 250g bag of coffee beans/grind to go home with; they're approx $15 and we're paying $160.
All in all it was a great morning, but value for money just wasn't there.
