I found the Multiple Level Barista training very worthwhile. It was evident the trainer was an expert in his field – he very knowledgeable about the subject matter; explained concepts using clear and concise language and encouraged course participants to experiment and think for ourselves. Theory and practice were well balanced and participants were also offered some choices as to the workshop structure and content on the day (including more practice time). The training room was very well set up using world-class barista equipment and a variety of tools were used to provide visuals such as whiteboard, laptop and live demos. Having the opportunity, and sufficient time to practice skills and ask questions in such a small group under close supervision by an expert eye was the best thing about this workshop for me. The tour of the back office, storage, grinding and roasting facility and was a great value-add. The take-home certificate and notes that were emailed after the workshop completed what I feel was a top notch barista training.
