Due to cancellations i was the only person on the course and got the full attention of the instructor.. I having been making coffee on my machine for Approx 10 years. The techniques were not new to me but the instructor adjusted my distibutor and explained the impacts to taste by adjusting the time of the short or the amount to be extracted and how that impacted sweetness bitterness acidity and body,
We then pulled s number of shots where we tweaked the time or volume, and taste tested the shots to further refine the shot.
We then did some milk streaming. and how to pour this into the coffee cup. I leant that i have been pouring too fast and not at the right height and was able to do some coffee art with the instructors help. This is an area that still requires more practice but that is my issue . I am just not good at this technique.
I highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to develop their home coffee skills
Thrilled that I am now able to consistently pull GREAT shots of coffee, instead of 'ok' ones. Chris was patient and explained the reasons why certain processes might work better for my particular machine. There is only so much you can learn from YouTube, nothing compares to hands on, personal instruction and would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to get more from their machine. The many compliments I now get from friends and family reinforces the worth of the course.
